SO Dave, if you rent the truck & dolly, how much can you get back when you are done? If you buy a nice dolly, you should be able to use it for free by reselling it. After all, you're looking for one, right?

Let's see, $500, divided by $4.65 per gallon......

Hey Bill, can i run my propane heater while towing the dolly? (i still laugh!) And Jim you are right sorta, and the gas @ 4.81 (NY) is part of the factor. My oldest son is moving from Ocala to Alexandria Va. Being a cheaper skate busnut, i thought of how i could get a dolly out of the deal. But i am flying into Orlando to help him drive to Va and then would have my younger son bring the truck down and we would take the dolly back to Ny/Pa.The cost of the gas plus time lost doesent really add up. We have found several localy at good prices so will go that route. A bus ride on the FUN WAH (!) bus will cost me 20.00 bucks to Penn station. i will let you know how that goes! The ones to Boston FLY by ya on 95. Anyway thanks again.
