Hello all!
As the title of this thread says it was a good weekend for the beast and me. Took the Hound to Ottawa friday night Picked up the bus where I had been keeping it drove her back to London at 60 mph just floated down the highway with power to spare, cost 267 dollars in fuel I feel pretty good about that considering my 2001 Cadillac DTS cost 120 dollars to do the same trip. Only had one problem maybe some one here can help with just coming into London the speedo did two rapid fluctuations then quit I have not look'd into it yet. Tonight it is going to be some good Rum and a cigar! :-)

Since the subject of speedos (the gauge not the outfit) came up. If you have added a pulse type speedo where are you guys installing the pickup? Is there some sort of magnet you install on a brake drum to create the pulse????

Tim,
Good humor!
The stock MCI speedo of Dave's (and my) vintage bus is indeed driven by magnets on the left front brake drum. You can tell it is this type, because under about 10 mph, the needle is kind of jumpy.
FWIW,
George

Thanks George. I was considering adding a speedo to my coach and was trying to figure out how to do it
