Have a 7 KW PowerTec Generator. Does anyone in bus land know right off what size pipe is required for the exhaust? I have mislaid (lost it somewhere) my paper work.
Trying to eliminate the guess work.
Thanks.

1.5", but using 2" would be easier. TomC

The fitting on the exhaust manifold on our 8 KW PowerTech (3 cylinder Kubota diesel engine) is 1 1/4" pipe thread. We installed a flex section, from PowerTech that had 1 1/4" pipe thread on each end. From this we went to 2" exhaust pipe under the bus to the muffler. Output from muffler is slighty smaller diameter.
You can call PowerTech and ask for Jeff Jones. Jeff is very helpful and will answer any questions you might have. Jack

Gene- I have a trucker friend that had a Powertech 7.0 lay down compact on his truck with a Kubota 3 cylinder engine. When he sold his truck the gen had 23,000 hours on it. The generator had been overhauled twice, but the engine was not touched-very good units and looooong lasting. Good Luck, TomC
