Both of my Schumacher run of the mill 10-20 amp chargers will charge forever if I let them, running on shore power. On the gen set they will kick out the 12 volt breakers in about 10 mins. Any ideas please. BTW voltage is at 118 AC.

I'll bet the voltage is 118 on the shore power, and more on the gen.
To hedge the bet, the gen is being used while boondocking, and the house batts are really low.
Automatic transfer switch doing something besides the AC?

The basics are:

Breakers "kick out" because of high amperage unless you have a weak breaker.

High amperage can be caused by many things including a combination of things.

High amperage is caused by...
Low voltage (check voltage with and without devices running)

Bad connections (check all connections)

Too small of wiring (size of wire and length)

Temperature (cold wiring and components require more amps)

Shorted wiring (this will cause a breaker to trip out immediately)
