Hi folks, I'm going to whine... but just a bit, ok? The "World of Bus Nuts Flea Market" has become a popular spot to source out "stuff" that our viewers need for their conversions. Occasionally, and increasingly more frequently, our viewers are placing those requests here on "THE BOARD" (and sometimes on both!). I take a few moments each day or two to remove those messages and place them where they belong - in WoBN's The Flea Market. It's quite a process, but I asked for it and I live with it - no big deal. Sometimes, I receive an e-mail from the author asking me what happened to the message. I return the e-mail stating that for continuity, I place all such messages in WoBN's The Flea Market. Occasionally, I get a reply where the author states that if they wanted it in WoBN's The Flea Market, that they would have placed it there. Other comments range from "no one ever looks at that section" to "my message is more important than the ones in WoBN's The Flea Market". Are you following me here, folks? You know where I'm going with this, right? Ok... so... here's a friendly reminder that anyone looking for a source of supply is quite welcome and encouraged to do so. The message is always required to be placed in WoBN's The Flea Market. If you post in the wrong place, your message will be moved without further notice. Thank you to all of our bbs viewers and to the 10,356 viewers who read messages in WoBN's The Flea Market in the last 30 days. Warmest regards, Ian Giffin www.busnut.com |

Ian: IMHO I think u are being a little too accomodating on this subject. My suggestion would be to just eliminate it if not properly posted, without notice or explanation. I can understand a source being given in the course of a general discussion on any particular subject, but specific sourcing questions are a different subject. Makes sense just to maintain some kind of order. Does not seem to be too much of a burden to do our shopping at the flea market! Great Board, thnks. |

Guilty as charged! I know I've done it (at least) twice in the last 6 months. I'm usually pretty good at observing the rules, but for some reason my pea brain just doesn't get it on this one! I'll try harder - I promise I will! Thanks for the great board, Ian! |

Some people, like I do, may us the 'Last Day' link to view the messages. When doing so, you can see the different sections, but it might not be as readily apparent that there is a deliniation btwn the two areas. I like to get the daily 'buzz' regardless of which section it is in. Thanks for the site, Ian. Scott |

Scott, I believe you are right on target and I have unintentionally done just that myself. Ian, If you could add a feature to each "add a message" area that would force the writer to select a forum it might save some admin time in the long run. Of course, you may be using an out of the box BBS package that does not have this feature available but just a suggestion anyway. |
