My gosh, Muddog! What an enormous undertaking. Makes my little restoration woes look pretty puny. But by my count, you're now going into the 14th YEAR of this conversion?! I mean, was the bus totalled or somthing? Whatever your reasons, you're surely doing a stem-to-stern rebuild, no question about that! I hope someday you get to drive it somewhere and that your enjoyment warrants your enormous effort. Hey, wanna come work on my old bucket? It'll seem like child's play compared to what you've done. Pat, you da man buddy. I left you a message on the guestbook last week, not sure if you got it? You gotta be lovin having the tarp off. I know I am celebrating that for you......too. She sure is impressive just like she is but, I cant wait to see her under paint. Your progress is very inspirrational to me and it sure gives me some gitty up and go. Keep up the great progress and KEEP POSTING PICS for us that will invariably get the winter blues. I am looking forward to your pics on the cafe' bay doors layout as that is where I am on ours and I need all the help and ideals I can get. Hi Pat, Nice work my friend! You will like the Kool Seal, I put it on our Eagle over 4 years ago, it held up pretty good. I will recoat the roof next summer to freshen it up. Thanks everyone! Nellie that was funny at times it has seemed like 14 years or more! Steve, you know I never did take pictures of the cafe doors, I'm surprised I didn't! This time I will! The holidays seem to slow the bus progress down, not that I need any help getting slower! When I work inside these days I don't have to spend two hours each day sitting tools up and putting them away, I just shut the door and turn off the power! I've decided not to install the engine this winter that will be a spring job, I'm staying inside this winter! I've been rotating this engine once a month for over a year now I can keep on doing this a little while longer! Steve I've visited the new Eagles site serveral times, it will be another daily stop on my reading schedule! Everyone over there has done a very nice job! ' Paul, I have to wait til spring for the "Koolseal" they recommend not applying it when the temps of the surface and ambient are below 50F. This winter will help locate any leaks! Hopefully there won't be to many! | ||

Excellant! Very impressive craftsmanship. By the way, if you are still looking at thermal coatings, I used TC Ceramic (www.nmsolarshield.com). It can be sprayed or rolled on. Has held up on my bus roof well. Could also be sprayed on the inside of the wall skin. You are going to have one of the nicest conversions around. Excellant picture documentation too! | ||

RCB, I have not noticed any chaulking at all. And it sits outside all the time here in Texas. Of course we don't get a lot of rain, but I have never had a problem with it. I would use it again without hesitation. | ||

I've noticed that buses in areas of air pollution and deciduous trees tend to get dirty roofs, and kool seal is apparently difficult to keep white in those conditions. | ||
