I know this has been discussed before somewhere, but; I am looking at a bus that is represented as having a 8v71 turbo and 740 tranny out of a garbage truck mounted in a MCI cradle but not installed in the bus. Original bus motor was non turbo & 4 speed. What pitfalls am I looking at if I were to step into this? |

I admit to not having done this swap. However, I do remember something about the turbo position having to be moved, maybe to the side? I know this has to be done to an 8V71 from a tank, don't know about one from a truck.
