I have a friend that has a 37 ft. 1972 Eagle that was originally made for Saudi. It has a 5 speed auto transmission. This tranny has some parts that we have never seen. Looking from the rear of the bus, on the right side, it has the shifting cable and the - what I think is the modulator that hooks on to the throttle, and on the left side it has a cable that hooks to a spring loaded cylinder on the hoses that come from the oil cooler and on the other end of the cable it hooks to an air cylinder. Dose anybody know what all these parts are for. |

Al, is the Eagle a model 04 with a zf or Allison transmission, but what you are discribing sounds like the retarder controls on a early Allison(the one on the left side) good luck (Message edited by luvrbus on December 05, 2008) |
