We have an mci 5b which we have all windows removed. After raising the roof 8 inches we have to decide on what to skin with. I have a roll of steel that is .026 thick. It is galvanized and painted already . When heated and stretched will this be thick enough? Also option #2 is some .080 aluminum that is a powder coat white finish . I like the steel better because it is in a continuous roll that will have no seams showing. The aluminum on the other hand is only in 102 inch long sheets? Any ideas on min thickness of steel for skinning should be?

Derek check with BnC on diesel chat. The steel is 1/3 aluminums thickness for same strength.
Also fastener placing stops some long expansion.
BnC does this stuff in his job description. He is a glue guy get his help first.
