Question: Because of an accident, not of my making, I am replacing the rear corner panel/panels and after removing one found there is a fabric/sealer between the panel and the framework. Is there a particular sealer that is important to use here or not? Just an FYI: The rest of the story is that since I am having to replace that panel I decided to upgrade my taillights to the IBP LEDs 24V conversion kit. Thus the need to remove both panels and replace with the new ones in the kit. Not looking forward to the rewire because, I only hardwire/solder splices to eliminate problems. |

Al; the reason for the fabric/sealer has 2 fold purpose. One is for helping prevent oxidation from dissimular metals and the other is for sealing along with making things a little quiter as sound barrier. When replacing metal try to always use something between so that the above can be achieved, even against the framing, my thoughts only gomer |
