Lockouts and Pedal returns. On my RTS if the safety lockouts are on(like an open rear door) the accelerator pedal wont work- that's fine. Thr problem is that in a correct run position, the pedals do not return, press down on the brake and it stays down, press down on the accellerator and it will stay wide open. No air returning the pedals to the upright positions- I know the first reaction is to blame the lockout system, but the bus would drive right now, it's just a little scsrey having to pull up the pedals with your foot. Any ideas would be appreciated, thsnks- |

Had a similar problem, and darn if I cant tell you exactly what the fix was, but if the bus sits, there is a part in the system that will stick, a little WD40 and it frees up and off you go. If I can find out what it was, I'll let you know but I was not present when they did it. Only takes a second and back in business.q |

Chris, A few of us RTS guys have removed the lockout system so the problems you are facing can't occur. If you go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RTS-bus-nuts/and look in the files section,Merlin has posted a sqematic for removing the interlock valves. Also do a search under "interlock valves"Hope this helps-Donn |

I tried to find Merlins post and I can't find it. It does not seem to be there anymore. Any Ideas how to find it? q |
