Just wondering if anyone knows of any plans on how to build a storage bed slide for my underneath storage compartments.

I made one for my 4106 out of 1 inch rollers I got at an auction. I held the rollers in place with 1 inch square tubeing and made a deck out of tongue and groove plywood. 12 rollers total and perforated angle to keep the deck in place.

You can buy full extension drawer slides that work well and can hold up to 500 lbs. They fit on the side and only take up 3/4" on each side. I made my battery tray with them. You can get them in any length up to 60" at most commercial truck body builders hardware suppliers. Do a search online as well.

SOMEONE HAD PUT IN LIKE GARAGE DOOR TRACKS AND HAD PUT THE ROLLERS CLOSE TOGETHER SO AS TO DISTRIBUTE THE WEIGHT. hAVEN'T TRIED IT BUT THAT SOUNDS OK FOR LIGHT WEIGHT OPERATION.

If you get down to Airborne Surplus near Orlando you can find (sometimes) US Gov NASA computer glides.

Have seen 2 8D batts mounted in them for EZ service .

I like the 1" roller idea better than drawer slides. If you bend or damage a slide, you've had it! Your only options are to replace it now (while will take a while) or jam the slide back in and deal with more damage later.

Look at cargo planes, and they use rollers because of the versatility. More important for us, rollers distribute the weight more evenly.

Going back to "versatility," in a coach it means that you can have several different trays instead of having to move the whole load in and out every time. This can be important, if you need to get out your toolbox to fix the problem that has your coach tilting toward the other side!
