Is anybody out there familar wih the auto push button transmission? Can any auto transmission be converted to push button shift? Or is there a specific Allison trans. that is a push button shift? I have a friend that has an Eagle with a manuel transmission. But would like a auto push button shift transmission. We have been offered a MT-644. Does this sound right to any one? And then again I don't know if the MT-644 is a allison. Thanks to all for your help. AL

You should go with an allison 740 in the eagle and install a stone bennett air/electric shifter.

Hello Al.

Push button or touch pad transmission shifters usually go with electronically controlled transmissions.
Allison ATEC models like the V-731
Allison World models like the B400 and B500

Just to name a few.

I'll echo Jojo, no point in going for a computer tranny (unless the Eagle has a more modern computer engine, in which case the two can talk and there can be some performance or economy advantages) Otherwise, get the electric/air shifter and an HT740.

Any particular reason that a tradition auto shift tower is unwanted?

happy coaching!
