I'm new to the board, I have a 1972 Prevost and I'm having problems with the Garrison steering. Lots of play and hard to turn. Does anyone have a information sheet or rebuild instructions for it. Better yet does anyone know what to take the parts off to update the steering. I own a farm and work with farm machinery so I have fair heavy mechanical knowledge and a shop to work on it. I also have room for the wayward traveler in need of a couple of nights stay and a repair place. Thanks | ||

A friend of mine had to get his parts for the Garrsion from a outfit in Canada called Hydrasteer good luck | ||

Don't know if you checked but if the pump is bad or low on fluid you can have what you descirbed. If you have high enough gauge put it inline on the pressure side. If the needle is all over the place you have air. If the pressure is low then the pump is weak. Thanks, I'll check out both places. I'll also check out the air problem as this all started when one of the hoses developed a high pressure leak. I lost most of the fluid before I could change the hose. | ||

Fraser... I THINK I have the specs on your Garrison....give me overnight and I'll try to come up with what I have....patience... Not only do I move VERY S L O W L Y, it is winter and that makes the blood run much slower....especially in the third world.  RCB | ||
