I have chance to buy a gauge cluster for $125 ( complete means mph tach oil x2 air pressure dual water temp and warning light cluster with all the wires and plugs in back) from a monaco whole seller. My question is will it hook up to my old am gen wires or would i have to rewire all the way from the back to the front? I know i can buy similar from custom insrt but for alot more but they provide tech support. Thanks in advance for the input. I have been reading the board for 6 mons now and have just finished with the complete reskin and front and back caps |

Guages are only half the package. You also need the sending units for each guage or warning light. Also the pickup for the tach and speedo. Richard |

Save yourself a lot of heartache and teeth gnashing and go the xtra 2-300 for a set with the matched senders and nomenclature sheets. Some of the electronic tachs and speedos can be impossible to calibrate without the spec sheets and directions for calibrating. It was surplus from Monaco for a reason. |

Many new "excess inventory" gauges- here's a place I found that has some really great prices on various VDO gauges. It's their special overstock page. This stuff is availiable to anyone in any quantity. It was extremely helpful in filling out my dash panel.. http://www.vehiclecontrols.com/specialdeals/specialdeals_store.htm There are about 3-4 pages worth- the pages are slow to load but it's worth the wait...
