Is your coach a pusher with radiator on the side of the coach? If so an air clutched fan wouldn't work because they turn the fan all the way off. Side mounted radiators don't get any airflow at all from forward movement of the coach unless the fan is providing it. If this is the case, the two-speed eddy-current electrically activated fan clutch from Horton works wonders. I've got one and love it. There is a version of it availiable from Case tractor that's the same unit at about half the price as from Horton direct. It sits at "slow speed" and provides plenty of air during normal operation, and kicks into "locked" high speed when pulling grades or on very hot days. Saves tons of horsepower. If your radiator is in the front of your coach, an air operated clutch fan might work very well for you, because when it's off, the forward movement of the coach will supply enough air to keep the radiator cool. Dounand If you are changing the fan for heating problems dont.My 04 has always had heating problems through the mountains.I am going to correct my by running two 2" aluminum conduits from the heater by pass lines in the rear to a radiator I will mount down from the bulk head just behind the front axle.My friend did this to his 07 and has no more heating problems. You will be making a mistake changing the fluid balancer to a none fluid/D.A. recomends any 671 with rpm above 1800 should be fitted wth a fluin type ballancer. John Rigby |
