What is the diffrence between a C injector and a N? |

Robert-- my 6v71 transit bus has c60 injectors in it and was told by associated diesel that these are like smog type injectors and i would see a improvement in performance with the n type. He did not give details of the difference between the two but recommended the N70 as these are common and good for my two valve head. He has these rebuilt for $49.95 plus core and his phone # is-- 617 265 5345 or www.adiesel.com
Also you need to check if your injectors are offset or straight type. offset type have the injector lines staggered on the injector in relation to the head Hope this helps you a little

A "C" injector is an injector with a 'Crown valve in the injector body and as "N" injector is one with a needle valve. You really can't tell the difference in the way they operate. Detroit injectors are really in a league of their own. Nothing comes close to them

49.95$ is to high for rebuilt injectors. I got a quote of 29.95 at a local DD shop. |

You guys are lucky you don't have DDEC engines. Those injectors, rebuilt from DD are $258 EACH, not a set of 8!!

hey Earl you are right the price i quoted includes the $20 core. Thanks for pointing it out to me, now i may order mine sooner. Do you think N75 is too big for a 6v71 two valve motor?
