My 8v71 is shutting down at 30psi. I assume the oil pressure switch may be at fault & I can jump across its terminals to bypass. Any tips? I disconnected air line to solenoid valve fuel shutdown & plugged air line to get it going today. Also "not generating" light is now on & is not charging. Are these two problems related? Need to fix it right as bus/rv will be for sale in the near future. Thanks for any ideas> Joe |

Pos in relay circuit, exp if your battery is real low it would not hold in the relay shutdown circuit. That is one way they are related. Larry |

Could be the transmission oil pressure if you have a standard. Has a different pump than engine oil and usually doesnt have a gage attached. Oil pressure sending unit is above bell housing. You can install a "t" with a gage to see if this is the case. |
