I have a leak in the foot valve. At the bottom of this valve is a "T" where the leak is. The horn no longer works. Can I remove the "T" and run the line straight thru? This is on a GMC 4905.
Thank you very much in advance, don't know what I would do without this board. 4905 Larry

Luke sells seal kits for these. Bendix also sells rebuilt units.

Larry, my horn valve had a "sticking" problem when I bought mine a few weeks ago... I'd hit the horn and it'd keep blasting!

This might not be even remotely similar, but I just sprayed mine with some Sea Foam lubricant and it stopped sticking/leaking...

As was said, Luke @ US Coach sells the kits... That was going to be my next order if I couldn't fix it with lubrication...

Thanks for the help guys, I did not even know the coach had a horn foot valve. As the cover for the wires, hoses and such also covered the foot valve. The leak was in the pipe threads of the "T" that threaded into the bottom of the valve or the nut in the bottom of the valve. Did not want to change the cover under drivers window.
I looked all over town for brass coupling found one at Freightliner Truck sales. Installed it and waalaa the leak is stopped and the wipers still work. I am happy to get all of the help, THANKS AGAIN AND AGAIN. 4905 Larry
Oh follow up on the Generator, it is out of the coach, torn down with bad stuck brushes and possibly ruined brass on which the brushes run, but on its way to repair. Thanks larry

They commonly turn those armatures in a lathe to true up the copper brush area.
