As I have posted ,I need wheels and tires for my MC8, I have been able to find 24.5 Alcoas used at reasonable prices, no so with the 22.5 variety. Would "low profile" 24" tires have close to the same "roll out" as the 12 R x 22.5"?

Any web site from the TRUCK tire mfg will have the tires RPM (rev per mile) .

You may want to use std sidewall and get a few (3?) extra MPH at cruise.

Is a calculator , that will help you select what you need.

If you decide to go with a taller tire, be sure it does not screw up your speedo accuracy if you have that type.

Also maybe be sure you can still mount up tire chains without them banging against the wheelwells.

And.....be sures you can still turn the front wheels lock to lock without them rubbing against the front wheelwells when the suspension is working.

Or with chains. Except for all of the above, I says go for it and enjoy. Whatever works is what works whatever. He he he.
