Darrell,

Sounds like a good time! Eastern NC was my childhood home, wish I could attend.

Are you Chris and Sabrina's dad? If so, tell them Brandon said hey.

Indeed, it will be a good time!

Sabrina and family are on their way back from Alaska as of tomorrow. They have been there for three years and will be stationed at SJAFB, hopefully, at least for the next few years. Did your dad work at White's?

I've gone off topic, please email me for further information.....

When will the Swap meet / Flea market take place? I will be coming but not driving my Bus as it's not ready yet. Just want to look at others and possibly buy some things for it.

Thanks Bill

Unless my new brake canisters get delivered very soon, I'm expecting that my bus will still be up on the jack stands. How does a "non-bus-driving attendee" get there? Any registration with the campground front desk. etc.??

Bruce, if you're asking for directions, looks like Hwy 41 to 421. North on 421, L onto Hwy 13, R onto Wade Stedman Road. CG will be on your right just before I-95.
If you'll google map I-95 at NC exit 61, click on 'satellite' view, and the campground is quite visible right at I-95, eastern side.
If you don't plan to camp, KOA may wish to know you're visiting, but unlikely that there would be any fees associated with visiting busnuts.
Once you drive into the CG, you'll see the buses.
BTW, Darrell lives down in your part of the world and he may know of some 'shortcuts'.
Hope you get your brake parts! We'll look for you either way!
JR

Hello Bruce,

Quicker and easier for you either in the bus, or car, would be to come west on I40 to exit 364. Then west on 24 to I95 north at exit 52, past Fayettnam to exit 61, left under/over (I forget) I95 and you're there. Look forward to seeing you there. Bring your eat'n bib - lots of vittles!

Bill, as far as the swap meet, everyone just sets their goodies out in front of their coach and you tell them how much/little you'll give them after they tell you how much they'll take......

JR, sausages? OK,,, but only if you'll get a jamb session going!

Thanks to JR and Darrell they have covered the details. Have been out of town this week - Thanks fellows -- Ya'll do good!!
For any one interested in participating or just looking come on down and join us. We will enjoy some good eating, fellowship, talking buses and what ever.
U can camp in almost any rig if U don't have a coach. There are sites for S&S units, tents, cabins and 2 new lodges. Should U want to camp call the campground directly and make your reservation and then please e-mail me (see JR’s post above) as to your plans (It helps in the planning of the meals).
We will have the Club House all weekend for our use. Some of us will be arriving on Thursday - Feel free to join us.
It looks promising that we will have a number of wannabes, dreamers and lookers with us and maybe even a coach or 2 for sale.

Looking forward to see all,
Gene

Darrell,
I happened to go by the exit for Wade the other day (southbound on I-95) and the overpass for that exit is torn down and in the process of being rebuilt. I'm not sure which way you would turn to get to the KOA. Just thought I would throw this out there in case a bus nut gets off the exit he may not be able to get to the KOA depending on the direction he is coming from.

I sure don't Bill. I emailed Gene, as he lives close to that exit. I think he will post his answer here. If not I'll find out from the NC Highway Patrol and let ya'll know. Thanks for the information!

If the bridge is out, the northbound lane may still be able to access the CG without rerouting. The CG is on the East side of I-95.
The Southbound lane would have a problem.
Looks like the best route is for Southbound travelers to continue past the Wade exit and loop around at I-295 @ exit 58. Not far at all. Go left toward Goldsboro. Left back onto northbound I-95.
Head back north on I-95 and exit at 61.

Fresh update from Gene. Hope to see you there!

From Gene:
"We deliberately keep the non-rally rally small (Maximum of 20 coaches) don't
have rally fees because we don't want to hinder anyone from enjoying our
hobby. We want this to be a fun and enjoyable time for U as U make new
friends and renewing old acquaintances as well as sharing experiences.

Below is the menu we have planned for Friday thru Sunday to any and all who
wants to participate. If U do not want to bring anything that's fine we
will have a hat or something U can pitch in some $. It will be used to
offset expenses.

Friday Saturday Sunday
Breakfast Breakfast
Biscuits & Sausage Gravy Pancake & Sausage
Syrup & Butter
Lunch
Sausage Dogs & Hot Dogs
Supper Supper
Hudson Bay Seafood Rest. Fayetteville Eastern NC Pork Bar-B-Q

Side Dishes for Saturday Lunch and Supper
Here R some suggestions:
Baked Beans, Rolls, HD Buns, Slaw, Potato Salad, Condiments for the Sausage
and Hot Dogs (diced onions, mustard, mayo and ketchup).

Desserts (Linda Passer is bringing her strawberry chunk cake as she did last
year).
Should U have a favorite side dish, salad or dessert then by all means bring
it.
If U will let me know what U want to bring ASAP I will prepare a list and
get it back to all. This should reduce any duplication.

We will have access to stove; oven, microwave and refrigerator in the club
house so U want have to heat up your coach.

Darrell is providing the sausage and I will provide the Bar-B-Que.

Any questions feel free to email or call us. We R looking forward to a
great time together.

Travel safely,

Gene & Frances

PS Remember coming from the North on I-95 the overhead bridge is out at
Exit 61 so U will need to proceed to the next exit and do a flop and head
North on I-95 back to Exit 61."

For those who are attending the rally, I just bought a new toy and would like to share it with you. It's an ultrasonic leak detector, and I need to practice with it. So if you have one of those impossible to find air leaks, let's give it a go and try and find it with my new toy....

I have a project for you! We be leaking...somewhere? I got the 'fizzies' at a couple of regulators. I've spent an inordinate amount of time looking for air leaks...still leaking.
We have...what, three days?! Cool!
Looking very foward to those little sausages!!!
See y'all Thursday evening.
Darrell, you bringing those little pups with you? I'm bringing them a playmate...she ain't the brightest cookie in the playground. Sitting here with Molly in my lap and she's about to freak out watching TV...sees the lemurs big eyes on 'The Link' and just goes nuts! I've never had a dog that watched TV!
