Anyone with a MC-8 ever mount a satellite transmitter/receiver or anything at all before the roof front fiberglass "hump" have any advise to offer over their experience. Thinking it would be best to reduce height issues mounting it on the low part. Haven't acquired the dish yet, so I haven't the exact spec for weight/size; haven't even decide on which system is best for my intended applications. I understand the portable dish systems are not bad now & more economical, perhaps this will be the way to go, as you don't need to park with a clear line of sight, I do like those shade trees when available. Kind of thinking it is way too early to go al-la cellphone Internet connections as the coverage is not good in many of my preferred areas of "stomping" & also still very expensive in the areas where it is workable if you use much of a volume. | ||

If you are talking about satellite internet, the hardware for that is too large to fit ahead of the "hump" on an MC-8. It has to go on the larger part of the roof. That said, we have one on our ~12'3" Neoplan, bringing our height right to 13' even. You should have no problem on an MC-8. -Sean http://OurOdyssey.BlogSpot.com |
