Ok being as new to this as I am I was surprised to find this but shouldn't have been. I noticed last night there is a gauge on the drivers side engine rail facing the rear doors of the bus. I had to get right down on the ground to see it as it's not right at the back , but rather about half way forward of the motor right at the bottom. Hope this description helps. Not sure what it is for. I was sitting on the ground installing my toad light recpticle when I noticed it. Thanks |

great thanks, I was kind of thinking that however it was sitting at 10 so I wasn't sure and it was getting dark and didn't feel like following lines etc. Gauge is proabably shot. |

My '79 MC9's temperature gauge was right there. Check to see if there's a thin copper tube running from it to a bulb dangling free someplace. |

Yup. At the end of the copper tube should be a fitting and a "bulb" (a bulge) at the tip. wassamattafoyu? |

On my MC-7 and my MC-8 the oil pressure guage is on the left engine slide rail. The oil pressure line comes out of the oil gally at the left rear of the engine, the line is used for the electric dash guage, low pressure shutdown switch(if it is working) and the manual oil pressure guage is screwed in the end to face the rear. You need to chech this guage, it is more accurate. Both coaches have manual temp. guages mounted on the top left engine compartment, near the rear start box. |
