Just getting home tonight and was doing some "online reading. This accident happened Friday night in the Savannah, GA. area.

It's always sad to read reports like this. When I was teaching my kids to drive we lived in deer country and one of their first lessons was to NEVER swerve to avoid animals. Stomp on the brakes,keep it in your lane and let um have it. And remember to duck if it's a moose or elk. This guy traded his life for maybe a few hundred dollars of chassis damage and the animal still died.

Yup, DO NOT SWERVE!

Go with the statistics:

Better to be wrecked on the road, than off in the rhubarb.

On the road, the following driver has no choice but to stop, off the road, you get to bleed slowly to death alone.

The words "coach" and "skid control" only belong in the same sentence with the words "not", "won't" or "don't" somewhere in between.

Look a long way down the road, keep a proper following distance and be good with God. You never know when you might be meeting HIM unexpectedly...
