Hi everyone.... I'm a newbee buying an RTS. I made the mistake of stopping at a Featherlite Dealership (palaces on wheels) and noticed almost all have mirrored ceilings. It seems to make the interior look roomier. Has anyone out there installed a mirrored ceiling? Comments? |

We did this on our MC-8. We used gold mirror plexiglass panels set into oak frames in the living area and galley. Makes for a lighter open feeling. You can see a few photos of this at {http://members2.clubphoto.com/jack217421 Just click on the Orange Blossom Special II (vol. 2) album. Hope this helps, Jack |

Who has room? My RTS ceiling is taken up by three ducted roof airs, satelite dish control, two fantastic fans, and a multitude of recessed halogen lights. It's not done yet, I bought a roll of Ozite for the finished product. We have a picture of a professionally converted RTS with a slide out and mirrored ceilings in the Photo section of our RTS Yahoo group (look for slide out RTS) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/RTS-bus-nuts --Geoff '82 RTS CA |

You know, we have already tossed around the idea of having some neat mirrored ceiling tile in the potty compartment as well as over the rear bed. Anyone having any problems with the tiles coming/shaking/peeling loose and falling off? What kind of glue should one use? Also, are there different brands or types that handle a slight gentle bend better than others? And.....how does one keep them from fogging up? Ha ha ha. Henry of CJ. |

Have a member in our chapter that HAD a Beaver Prevo; lots of mirrors, crystal lites, etc. He always complained about spending a couple of K a year replacing the broken stuff. Last year he got tired of it and sold it. It was a beautiful coach but not practical for living in and travelling the back roads. |

Thanks for all the input! I'm going to plan on installing mirrors on the ceiling in the living room/kitchen area. |

This source came to me from my friend and fellow bus nut Mike Herron. I saw this product in Mike's bus and it looks great. He sent an e-mail to fellow bussers in the SE area with some local sources, this is an excerpt from Mike's message: Household Mirrors: Instead of tempered glass or double laminated glass, I have found a great acrylic mamirrir material that comes either 1/8th or 1/4th thick, in 4x8 sheets. These are as brilliant as glass, less weight, and will not crack under stress or vibration. About $165. per sheet of 1/4th inch. G.E.
