Hey All, I don't know why but I really love my bus. One day I even wrote a poem about her.I hope it's not too dumb.

She worked all her life, knowing endless toil.
People thought of her then as nut, bolts, and oil.
From here and there, steady people she'd bring.
But none looked at her or talked ,for she was a thing.
I knew when I met her , She showed sighns of her time.
I'd give her tender loving care, I'd bring her back to her prime.
No longer would she go to places she hated.
She'd take us to places we have long debated.
She'll dance like a lady, to places near and far.
Places we never knew really, we all now know are.
From the day that I saw her, I knew from the start.
She's gracious and loving, and she does have a heart.

:-) :-) :-)...thanx for sharing, Doug!

I've, learned along the way not to love anybody...any thing...except the LORD...too much.

But I certainly understand what you are saying! :-)

I love mt old girl! She was not treated with the respect and kindness she deserved by a couple of PO's, but I am making it right. I'm repairing, cleaning, and upgrading virtually every part of her lovely body, and when I'm done, people will look at her with envy and respect! 51's not old, she is in the prime of her life! Every now and then I see a shiny "newer" model and look with wanting, but then I remember how simple and efficient she is, and my '04 is still my favorite girl!

What a great thread! I love my bus too! She's a grand rig, only 45 years young and a wonderful living space. Me and my "motley crew" are very comfortable. I wouldn't trade my 06.

...more of a love / hate relationship , love to drive it, hate to spend money & effort on it. all good though, not anything I would consider we need spend money for "relationship counseling".

honestly...if u dont have a passion for her youll most likely never see the project to the end. that is a GREAT poem and i find motivation in your words

on another note...bishop this isnt the preaching blog its a bus blog. some times i find myself in completely disagreeance with you, love is a beautiful and temporary thing as is life. there is certaintly a reason why many philosophers over time have toiled with how love fits into our scheme of morals and ethics for this emotion/feeling is quite definition-defying and must be acknowledged and respected or else...well u know the old saying...if u raise a snake, expect to get bitten...and those love bites can hurt real bad sometimes!
