Take it for a drive, use it, go sleep in it on the floor.

Do whatever minimum is necessary to spend a little enjoyment time with the coach, however you can do that presently, without bothering about the giant to do list.

Gotta make the end real in your mind, otherwise, why would we suffer through the building process?

happy coaching!

yep, just spending some time in it, go sleep in a highway rest stop, wake up and look around.

if you still have some seats, face 2 pairs together, put a table in between, and bring some paper and pencil, and brew some coffee and start doodling.

you will get right into it in no time :-)

Hey, Craig...

It's Nellie! How about going WAAAY up north, let her freeze up. then burn all your fuel trying to stay warm. THAT'LL get ya really blah, and then you can (somehow) skid back to VA and you will feel MUCH better. :-)

Seriously, I know how it can just get you down... man, I've been there so often... but the guys are right. Drive that sucker, take it someplace.

Hey!! How about over here? Or go see Ed in Myrtle Beach? Both close, both insane (the definition of Bus Nut).

Gee, nice to have I-net for awhile.

As others have said "USE IT!" It does not have to be finished to enjoy it. When we purchased our bus (still a seated coach), we set a goal to go somewhere in it at least 1 weekend a month (except June, July, & August, when it is just too hot down here in SW Florida). In almost 10 years, other than the summer months, there have not been more than 5 or 6 months that we have not went somewhere at least once. Especially when we were were in the midst of converting it, we would would always return home invigorated and anxious to add something new to the coach before our next outing. Jack

If you have the opportunity , go take a look at someone elses incomplete coach, maybe someone who is a little further along. I get more drive to get things done when I visit someone else's coach.

Want some real motivation? Go camping in a tent for 3 days in Florida in the midst of a 20 inch rainfall. Upon your return, you will be motivated! (Experience talking!)

Think back to how you felt when you first bought her. If the feelings were "Love at first sight", then get those feelings back. Take it for a drive, get your hands greasy, bust your knuckles then smile alot.

Most of all have fun while your doing it!

Hey Craig, select a small project that you can finish, because success is a great motivator. And just keep on doing that till you get through.

Craig, Just hang around this site more! I've never met a more dedicated and supportive group in my life! Dream of the trips, the Bus Nut ralleys, and the expressions on your friends (and new friends)faces when they see your pride and joy drive down the street - that alone makes it worthwhie. I'm elbow deep in refurbing an '04, and although sometimes it seems endless, I look at my list of little accomplishments and realize how far I have already come. Make the success list and keep it out where you can look at it, (and maybe hide the to-do as it sometimes can be overwhelming...)

Sometimes the conversion task seems endless , and the concept USE it is fine , but camping with a porta potty and air bed only is fun IF you are going someplace that is "Special" .

Buss Gathering ,TCT, Boat Show , EAA fly in , whatever floats your boat.

If there is nothing that is fun close by , simply use the coach to help someone MOVE!

There is a huge volume in a bus , and while a pickup & trailer can do furniture , all the rest of the STUFF folks seem to pile up are usually EZ to carry in and out of a bus.

And inside a bus , it doesn't rain on the books and clothes ,,,, as it does in the back of a pick up.

As Fred says use it. That's the bet thing you can do for the coach and your confidence/enthusiasm. Even if we don't have a camping trip planned I will pile the family in the bus and take it to dinner once a month just to make sure it gets run

Also, go to a motorhome rally or rv show or even to a dealer. Looking at all those interiors will get you going. Stop looking at the big picture on yours... concentrate on accomplishing ONE particular job or project on it. Do a couple minor simple ones first. That'll usually get me going when I feel like that on a large project. And, unfortunately, I always have too many irons in the fire at the same time.
