Is there a difference in the older 6v92ta and the silver and what year or better what serial # did the silver start with thanks for any help skip

To identify whether you have a "Silver" 6V92TA you have to look at the serial
number on the block, located on the right bank of the block, just behind the
water pump. If it is a Silver 92 with the improved cooling and stronger
block it will have a serial number of F83425 or higher
