Ran into a guy on-line today that has a 4106 he is about to send to the grinder. It has not been parted, just sitting for a dozen or more years. As I understand it, he bought 2, from Greyhound, sold one after he did and engine swap, and the one he kept has, he says, a virtually new engine (6V-71 I think). It was partially installed in its cradle, but never completed. The bus is sitting in a field, the interior gutted, I think, and can be had cheap. He said he wanted $1000 for the enging and 4-speed, but I suspect he would sell the whole bus for that. I don't know the guy, just trying to save a pretty old girl from the grim reaper! The bus is north of Reno. If anyone is interested, I will get they his number but don't want to post it without his permission. If I had the space, I would grab it myself just to save her - they are so beautifull, and getting rare! Let me know, Jim | ||
