I need to purchase some fittings for my airbag system. I'm hoping to do this before noon Tuesday. Any suggestions on a supplier?

This is Salt Lake City so all the truck outfits are represented. I'm thinking I'll start at NAPA and move on to Six States Dist.

I need some DOT brake hose, hose ends, a Tee, a plug (if they exist), some Schrader valves, and maybe a couple of little things.

I need to move this bus about 100 miles and can't get a new leveling valve for at least two days, so I'd like to cap the rear air tap and put valves on each side airbag. They are plumbed with 1/4" nylon.

If they don't make a plug, I can put a loop between the two sides of the Tee that taps for the rear airbags.

TIA

Dave there should be a truck supply depot like Truck Pro, Freightliner, etc, in the area you are in and they probably have the parts you need. Napa also should have a lot of the stuff.

The truck parts dealers would be one of your best bets for all the fittings and tube/hoses, but may not have the schrader valve.

I think I'd tie your air bags together (loop the air line) and air them up from one valve/fitting/schrader, that way all the bags are air evenly.

Don't forget, you can get the brass fittings in 'pushlock' style, it might be easier than compression, same nylon tube/hose.

Thanks for the help folks. Hose and Rubber said they have everything in stock. I'll report back later.

Tony: What was the search you made to find them?

I just googled "salt lake city air hoses"

Got several hits. Didn't check out any of the other ones as this one looked best.

good luck

My local auto parts store carries all these parts and I suspect most others do also.

I guess I was getting way too detailed with my search.

I went to Hose and Rubber and found everything I needed. I put a Tee on the airbag side of the one good leveler and took that into both airbags. Those push-lock fittings are sure nice.

Is there a listing of parts suppliers in various cities? (I'm aware of the phone book :-) ). That might be nice for BusNut.mobi.

Dave, in St. George there is a company called PAGE BRAKE WAREHOUSE, I think it is a chain, they have had everything I have needed over the last 11 years (brake cans, "S"cams, hose, fittings, slack adjusters ect.) check your area for this name.>>>Dan

Thanks Dan

It turns out they are HQ in SLC. Their office is off California and Bangerter. Thanks for an excellent tip.
