I started writing my thoughts about a recent thread on wire, solder and crimps, and before I knew it I was taking photos and writing a whole silly webpage about soldering crimps and some of the cool "tricks" I've figured out over the years. Here's the URL http://www.heartmagic.com/crimps.html Remember, a lot of it's probably NOT politically correct, but it is MY way and it works well for me.... Cheers Gary Stadler |

The linemans pliers type crimper you like is available at Home Depot for under ten dollars. It is a little shorter than the some but very high quality and works well with a two handed squeeze. |

Thanks Gary. I've got tons of material on electrical design (which I've never done, so it's needed), but very little on the practical/mechanical aspects of wiring. This is good stuff! John |
