Does anyone know anything about this series of bus? I cannot find anything on the web (Ward conversions or Ward OTR transit models) about it. It appears to be a 40 foot GMC New Look Suburban (Manual Transmission)that was factory converted into an executive coach. But it distinctly has a "Ward Traveler" emblem on the front. That's all I can tell. I haven't talked to the owner (yet), but my GF operates a specialty machine (tool and die cutting) shop, so fabricating out of production parts like kingpins wouldn't be a problem. She likes the idea of saving the bus, has the resources to do it, and the labor (me) if it truly is a classic.

Thanks,

Doug

You won't have trouble finding kingpins or many of the other parts you might need for the chassis. Most of the parts are interchangeable with the highway coaches, and can be purchased from places like Mowhawk industries. You can still probably even get the kingpins from a NAPA that carries heavy duty parts.

looks like someone's copy of a fishbowl. If that is the case, you may spend a lot of time finding the correct parts for it all the time. Other's peoples copies can have all sorts of unique components.

At least the glass looks like flat panes. Ward made/makes school bus bodies. Is it an air ride or springs? Find out what chassis it has and parts availiblity as John sez. Is it on a GM chassis?

Probably used a lot of Flxible chassis items to be competitive.
