I am going to tout one of my favorite places on earth...Ft Robinson which is just west of Gordon, Nebraska in the Pine Ridge Country of Nebraska. I love this ranch land, and the Sandhills area.

Ft Robinson is a very historic place, used from the time of the Indian Wars up to WW2, when German POWs were housed there. Several museums, parade grounds, restaraunt, jeep tours to see the big horn sheep up in the bluffs, very fun. At night at the campground (electrical hookups)you will hear coyotes in the area. Very interesting place. After you have seen the Crazy Horse monument just north in the Black Hills, you can see where Crazy Horse was killed......Ft Robinson. Walter Reed was stationed there in the 1800's (yes the one the hospital in DC is named after. My wife and I enjoy Nebraska. We live in the beautiful Ozarks and have a houseboat on Table Rock Lake, yet we look forward to getting up there every few years.
