A mci7 and a mci 5b are the rear diffs the same?
would i have to do major modifications to fit
the 7 into the 5b?

I am not positive, but I think the 5B rear axle uses a drop box, the MC-7 does not not. Are you talking complete rear differential or just ring & pinion gear? Jack

Just a complete change over, hoping that the 7 diff would just bolt up into the 5b.

I am in Edmonton AB, having a hard time finding
rear differential for a 1972 Mci 5B.but there is
a board member in Winnepeg Man. who is parting out a 7, and i was hoping that it would fit my bus without to much modifications. btw hows your trip going Jack?

They not the same the 5 has a gear pinion running in oil and the 7 has a yoke.Eagle has the same drop box but the axles are different Eagles are larger so their diff won't work for you
good luck
