This brings up a question that has been rattling around in my head. I have a 1974 Flxible New Look transit (similar to one pictured above). Someone said once when looking at my bus in person, 'They used to call those Fishbowls.' I didn't counter the statement. However, I have only heard of the GM New Look transits referred to as Fishbowls. Despite a similar look btwn the GM and the Flx, were the Flxis ever called Fishbowls? Note: Most notable difference is GMs have the rounded windshield whereas the Flx is all flat glass. Scott |

Scott - For all the time I was in the bus industry, I never heard your model Flx referred to as a Fishbowl, only as a "New Look". RJ PD4106-2784 Fresno CA |

It was my impression that the term "fishbowl" comes from the design of the windshield, which resembles an old fashioned geometric goldfish bowl. I didn't think brand mattered, but I apologize if I am wrong (Sorry, Scott). --Geoff |
