In the "good old days" anyone venturing to another country would carry a "Baja Filter" to pre filter the fuel before putting it into their tank.

Even in the US I found lots of water and gunk in some places , just takes a slopy fuel farm or station owner.

The good folks at West marine now have a cheapo WM-F8C for $29.00, that out ranks the $130 Baja in actual use tests .

The folks traveling south of the border or stuck in the woods for a few months that need to refuel from a pour can might consider this investment .

If you keep the water out of the diesel , it can save a lot of hassles.
