We are getting ready for a cross country run, leaving for Arizona in the Fall. I like carrying spare fluids for all the systems. The manual calls for 10 weight oil for the power steering. I have been having problems finding this. It seems that everything is multi weight these days. Is there a substitute, or a source for this oil. I have tried Napa, Tractor Supply and all the local auto parts stores. All that I have found is one place that offers a 5 gallon pail. And that seems a bit overkill.

thanks

Try any farm store ask for hydraulic fluid. Pretty much all tractor and implement hydraulic fluid is 10 weight oil. You might also find that hydraulic jack oil is also 10 weight. You are right as it is far easier to find it in 5 gallon pails that in quarts. Try a kubota dealer or john deer dealer. regards, john

NAPA sells power steering fluid in quarts for cars also. You should be able to check the specs on it. It appears to be about 10 weight.
