The city where I live has ordered some Thomas transit buses. I know that Freightliner owns Thomas, but I did not know that they made a transit bus. Has anyone seen one? |

Thanks for the address. I think it would be the transit liner series that were ordered. I hope that the quality control is better than the FL series Freightliner. |

Paul, I have a 1992 Thomas Saf-T-Liner. They call this bus a transit style. There are some small systems and colleges that order these buses strictly for transit operations. I may be wrong here, but I believe they all have a frame under them just like mine. Of course, they are snub nose, rear engine, and most have air bag suspension, air operated front and rear doors. Blue bird has a simular setup also. Darryl |

When these buses arrive I will try to get some pictures and post them. It will probably be several months and I think that they may be thirty foot coaches. It will be interesting to see how they are equipped. |
