Hi Everyone – This is kind of off-topic, but some Bus Nuts – and several other folks too – have suggested I start a blog… which might be pretty cool now that I’m officially a ‘full-timer.’ Yup, I finally realized I was kidding myself, even thinking I’d go back to that frozen tundra called Quebec... even during our two weeks of summer. So my lovely daughter is emptying my apartment, putting my few meager possessions into storage. The point being, my internet access is pretty spotty – has been for quite awhile – but I like being in touch. A blog could solve that… I can write most anywhere and post whenever I find service. Plus, I could share some photos and the occasional nutty tale that probably wouldn’t be appropriate for this forum. And I’d like it to be an ‘open’ Blog, where other Bus Nuts (or whomever?) could post their stuff too. Trouble is, I don’t know squat about blogging, or even where to get a blog hosted. It might be fun to make it an adjunct to this site, but I don’t know if Ian would go for that? (Ian, maybe you can come back to me on that?) Anyway, I know a few of you have experience with this stuff, and I’d surely welcome some helpful hints. Thanks. Nellie Wilson | ||

Hi Nellie, David is correct. There is an individual blog available for anyone who signs up to the BNO Facebook portion of the site. Uploading pictures is a snap, as they don't need to be resized to fit anything, and they make thumbnails automatically. As well, and this will be the part I like most, you can say whatever you want, nutty or inappropriate for this forum as you want, because you have complete control over who sees what you write. Add friends, delete them if they pi$$ you off. No more moderated comments; now you are the moderator. You have already registered, Nel, so you're good to go. I see a couple of songs you wrote, including the hilarious one that you and Ace co-wrote, are already online! Ian www.busnut.com | ||

Dang, Ian, you are so right (per usual)! I WAS there, right after you started the thing. I was stuck with dial-up at the time and posting took me all afternoon, so I kinda mentally blocked it - you know, as just something I couldn't (conveniently) do. But your reminder got me back over and I really enjoy the format and content. Everyone should click it once in awhile... a change of pace from the 'nuts & bolts' (well, perhaps not the nuts) of bussing. Nellie Wilson | ||
