Ian has been very helpful with his suport of our Busin' rallies and I do not fill his BB with Busin' information, however this time I am going to make an exception (Hope you do not mind Ian). It is now official, we will have a guest speaker from the cold north country. Luke of US COACH/Camp Luke will be a guest speaker. He will be joined by a couple of guys from the Northwest, Dave Gregory of Southern Oregon Diesel and Bob Lewis from Ifinity Coach. Once again, I apoligize to Ian, but I just couldn't wait to tell everyone. Jack

Hey Richard:
For those old enough to remember Eastern Air Lines, when advertising their Florida service, the ads said: COME-ON DOWN!!!!!!
Ian are you reading this??????
Would Love to Meet you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Luke, Yea, I remember. And for I@N, I suspect he would enjoy this get together much more than the grand canyon cavern outing he is planning.

Sorry I ignored you in the previous post. Welcome aboard and I am really looking forward to meeting you. People like you are few and far between in this mixed up world we live in.

It seems that the majority of the business worlds attitude is that "if you want a little service, come and see us, we give you as little as anybody".

You and Dave Gregory are two of the exceptions to this rule.

Well...

I don't want to appear cheap, but, YYZ to TPA return would run me CAD$746.72.

There is a bus charter that I can drive down which leaves T.O. on Nov 30 and returns Jan 5 from St. Petes, but that's in a 2002 Prevost Motorhome with a VIP interior with 28 passengers. Two things would happen: 1) y'all would get jealous and depressed seeing a shiny new Prevost drive in to your campground and 2) I wouldn't know what to do with the 28 passengers for two or three days!

And, of course, I would'nt want to be taken out to the back 40 by Ace & Fast Fred to be shown some "southern hospitality" for constantly editing them and cutting them off and censoring just about everything that they write on this bbs!

:-)

I think it would be great to meet Luke, and Dave is a customer of BNO and we produce his web site, southernoregondiesel.com, though we need to meet so we can get his bulletin board system going.

Seriously, though, folks, please forgive me, but I absolutely cannot get to FL for the New Year's festivities at Jack's and I sincerely appreciate the invitation. What I can say, though, is that I've already committed to AZ, manning a commercial booth with Dave Galey, George Myers and Ed Lonsbary at the BC Convention. I would love to meet all of you, so when you're done in FL, why not take a slow trip west and meet up there again. If I can get there from Toronto by car, I'm sure it's a cakewalk for those who are already down that way.

Please don't rely too heavily on the reasons not to go to AZ, but rather, think of the great reasons why you should. There's only a few thousand of us who enjoy this hobby. We should try as hard as we can to get together as often as we can.

Regards,

Ian Giffin

Wow, Ian, pretty much what it'll cost to go down and back in diesel!

Way more fun driving the 48 hours down and back than sitting in an airplane for 6?

Wait a minute......

happy coaching!
