Is your starter to ground block and starter ground to engine block? You need to have a 2/0 from the frame ground/batt- to starter than starter to engine block with a # 10 or larger. |

Wow, Rob! Clean that sucker up. Pain in the behind but amazing what you'll uncover... and sometiimes even cure. I know buddy, 'cause I've been all through that grimy, greasy, toxic process. But it pays off. Nelie Wilson |

Looks like the "fitting" directly under "Whats This" is a supplemental drin plug for the cooling system. Jack |

Thanks Jack I think your Right! David yes that was the wire I found the copper pipe is the water pipe going to the solenoid valve for the old Bus heater removed now! the silver tube is for wires! Ralph the Starter and starter ground is on the other side of the bus and is #00 and starter to engine is #6 this is a pic of the drivers side The DN Alt Belt driven is just farther left in the Picture. Nelie what did you use to Clean off all the old Yuck in the hard to reach places? I Don't want to use to much presser around some of the old wires and the old presser lines. |

Rob, I have used Gunk degreaser pretty succesfully but bear in mind with a detroit it's kind of a temporary thing. If they aren't leaking they aren't running ![:-)](http://www.busnut.com/bbs/clipart/happy.gif) |

i use my 3000 psi pressure washer. It chews the old oil off in a second. Rent one if you don't have one. WAY BETTER THAN USING DEGREASER!!! be careful on your radiator fins though... It is better to clean them out from a distance or using a less focused pressure tip. My old motor is a bit of a smoker, but it sparkles... |
