NUTS- Thanks to a lot of help from the folks here, Aimee and I have completed the interior renovation of our coach. Exterior includes painting roof with KOOL SEAL, new Penninsula glass on both sides and new windshield and rear window. Also, some minor tweaks of exterior. What i like most is that she keeps the original lines outside. The interior looks good too. You guys should be really proud of yourselves. Now could you send me an application for bluegrass drummer please. What do you have for heat and A/C? thanks dave | ||

Jim & Aimee - Howdy! (Always wanted to say that). Went through all your photos... especially liked the one with the banjo, and the one with the hat in the back window. Reminds me of 'home.' Nice job Jim and Aimee. We didn't find room for the bass inside, ours goes in the bay underneath. We may see you around the bluegrass festivals. We use ours mainly for that and hauling the band. Happy trails, John and Barb | ||

Jim looks like a great job. I do like that you did it your way to accomadate all them thar geetars,mandolins.mamouth bass git fiddle and all the other stuff..LOL GREAT JOB!!! ALL...thank you for the interest and positive feedback/encouragement. It was quite a learning experience for both...neither of us had ever undertaken such a project and no experience...had a lot of help. Dave. We have a suburban propane furnace under the sink, and an electric heater between the rear beds and in the bathroom under the sink. For a/c, have 10000 BTU window air conditioners located on each side below deck in bays and one of the same mounted in rear sleep cabin inside roof. total 3 All the above were part of the original conversion in 1980. Original owner put only about 5K miles on her before parking in a barn for 15 years. A friend found her and started bringing back to like and we took over a few years back...had no paperwork on the conversion so we spent a lot of time figuring things out. We changed part of the floor plan in the front of main cabin but most is the original plan and hardware. | ||

Rob..you got it...since it sometimes rains at bluegrass festivals (believe it or not  . that is exactly what we had in mind; The space for an indoor jam. We just returned from Beanblossom, Indiana festival where we got our wish. It rained most the whole time and we were able to jam on the bus. Was the first trip after completion Once again, thank you for the positive input. As any busnut knows, there are times when encouragement is sorely needed. | ||

OK, this is driving me nuts. I want to look at the pics, but all I get is: "The JavaScript for this page failed to load correctly" I Googled JavaScript and followed the directions to enable it on my "Explorer" (it was already enabled), and I still can't see them. Bummer. Any ideas for me?? Thanks... | ||

Thank you Jim... Got the pics by email and I compliment you as well on your efforts. My '04 has been a 2 year project so far, and summer '10 will be our first camping trip. Plenty of local roadtrips to keep her oiled though. Nice job & thanks again for the pics... Jamo | ||

Jamo. I got my 06 the end of 2004 and began work in 2005 on the weekends during that summer and those that followed. It took us until late summer of 2006 to get her to the place to start using her for camping trips. We had 2 spots at a campground nearby where we kept her and our Class C. We would stay on the Class C on the weekend and work on the coach. The last 2 years she has been our primary coach and since sold our Class C. While there was still much to be done, we had the basics working and improvised as required to use her for bluegrass festivals and other short trips. I offer the above as encouragement and testimony that it does take time. I also must admit that there were times that there seemed to be no end in sight. I do not think there is ever an end to it, nor would I want there to be one since I love constantly coming up with enhancements and improvements. It is nice, however, to have the major stuff complete and be able to slow the pace to one of leisure. Thanks again for the positive response and interest. Jim, nice looking banjer, I have a Goldstar100 and a Sullivan Festival deluxe. We just return from Rosine KY for the 4 day bash at Bill Monroes home place, rained first two nights but good during the days, they were not prepared for the massive turn-out do to RFD-TV exposure, it was a real madhouse.>>>Dan |
