If money is no object, you want BRIGHT white LED based lighting for your coach that will never burn out, you can handle soldering a 6 ohm 2 watt resistor to an electronic device, and are able to mount things properly to little heatsinks, this is the doodah for you!! PDF: http://www.optotech.com/data_sheets/OTLH-SHK2-10_B.pdf or their website: http://www.optotech.com/custom%20LED%20design.htm Their series of LED's called "Shark" are nasty bright, and cost about a hundred dollars each. I have personally used somewhere around 10-12 of them in all the colors, for some neat special FX stuff that I make for a Vegas stage magician (I'm his personal wizzard), and they definitely are what they advertise, BRIGHT. In fact so bright that even from 20 feet away they are hard to look at. Since the white ones are nice and diffused and about 50-75 degrees illumination angle, they would make great lighting for under-the-counter or even overhead coach lighting. They consume half an amp max, are totally dimmable, and just plain WOW. They are made by putting an array of MANY ultra-bright LED chips on a single substrate inside a single package. The result is stunning. (no pun) They are tiny, don't get hot when properly mounted, geee whiz, what else can I say other than you better be rich to play with them!!!! But they're worth it if for nothing else than the ohmygosh factor!!! (although I have to admit, a dual 40-watt fluorescent fixture still kicks their butt) Cheers Gary |
