Hi Ian - Cannot publish my blog on Facebook. Get message to effect that 'blog is too long.' No matter how much I chop it down, same message appears - won't take even a couple paragraphs of straight text. Can you correct or advise? Hey, out there... Anyone else having this problem? Hi Ian - Definitely (for once) not a dumb blonde thing. After I read your post, I thought maybe it's this laptop(?) so fired up the desktop... same result. On both I get the following message: "We're Sorry A problem seems to have occurred. Please correct the following: Please limit your blog post to 100000 characters." But this blog has WAAAY less than 100,000 characters, even with photos. So go figure? Then I thought maybe it was because I 'copy & paste' from Word instead of typing directly into the "Entry" window? But I did the same on my last two posts and everything worked fine. I tried but couldn't forward the blog to you through Facebook... says I'm limited to only 2000 characters (that ripping sound is me tearing my hair out). You probably won't see this until tomorrow but, referring your evening plans, hope you got some good zzzzzzzzzs. I wanna hear that song idea. Luv ya back - Nellie | ||

Hey Ian - Got it. Lots of hours and T&E but figured it out. [T&E: Means 'trial and error.' It's a new acronym I just coined but you guys - for only a nominal royalty - are welcome to use it.]  Anyway, here's the deal: I'd inserted some gibberish characters into my text, like when you want to express frustration without actually using dirty words - a kind of chickensh** way of cursing (like *^#@*)? Seems this blog program (either Ning or Facebook) 'reads' those symbols as part of their code... and attributes a value to them. I deleted those characters (and replaced them with some really disgusting - but authentic - words) and Bingo! Good as gold. So maybe tell the folks if they wanna swear, just spit it out. PC sensibility ain't goin' nowhere on THIS blog site. Yak soon, Nellie | ||
