Has anyone actually gone to mexico with your pets? What procedures and problems? We travel with a bird and a cat. Thanks Jim |

For the last 6 years we have traveled from San Diego to Baja every weekend and bring our 5 dogs with us. We have never had any question going south, only a few minor comments heading north (back into the US). We keep copies of vaccination records and rabies certificates for them all in the glove box of each car and the bus. A cat should be no problem, but a BIRD will be a big problem. There are things that birds get and carry that US Customs have big problems with? If you need details, I can put you in touch with a friend that went thru the process with their bird. Peter |

Jim, i think your best to leave the bird north side of the border as you can have mega troublegetting it back if ever. even into Canada they donot want you bring in birds of any kind, and any crossing will make your crossing worse than a 6 month holiday at your mother in=laws. as stated they are great carriers of bugs external and internal. |
