I searched the archives and only found one reference to a part number for dry filters, the Fram CA3212. Does anyone have another filter they are using? Just want to get the best one. Thanks Dave H | ||

Dave, I use the original oil bath cleaners. Do you know for certain that yours are dry? | ||

What I have are a foam type pulled over a screen, and the oil baffles are all missing from the cans. I have no idea if these foam ones are the original oil bath and someone just removed the baffles and quit using oil. Thanks Dave H | ||

The originals were steel mesh kind of like coarse steel wool which had the bottom part in oil. It may be possible to remove the steel wool and cover it with foam but I don't know that for sure. I don't remember exactly what they look like but the manual shows some drawings of the original. |
