I talked to Viviane (Nellie Wilson) yesterday. She was near then Fl/GA border heading south. She is coming to our place and will be performing at Bussin' 10. She said her coach was running good and she was anxious to get far enough south to not worry about freezing at night. Jack

Another Canadian succumbs to the enticing orange grove...

Looking at the weather maps this AM, Florida looks like the last hold out north of Mexico for the cold.

If you think your coach conversion doesn't need some method of freeze protection, best to have a peek nationwide at some temps!

BW, My cousins in Canada, especially in Frontier are always amazed when I tell Them on the phone to bring warm clothes because it is 20F today! Northwest Fl east to Tallahasse Fl gets cold enough to deystroy anything with water that is not protected! Enjoy the snow LOL ,Regards John.

Port Carling, Ontario, is on beautiful Lake Rosseau, part of the Muskoka Lakes series of inland waterways, in an idyllic setting where many famous people, including several top name celebrities, cottage through the summer.

1

A friend who lives there sent me this picture, taken out her front door after yesterday's 4 foot snowfall. Yes, 4 feet!

2

I'm not sure, but, Buswarrior, doesn't your bus look about like this, as well?

Safe travels Nellie. Its certainly worth the ride to get out of the cold.

I made it to St. Pete for T Day and now I have the coach up in Archer for some mods.Put in a swing out radiator and a few other upgrades. Back to St. Pete next week and then maybe down to Sarasota area for a while.

I know not what amount of snow is on the coach roof.

I stayed here in the big smoke for the weekend.

Where there is only enough white on the ground to confirm that it is indeed below freezing, and that's it.

happy coaching!

Ah, she is getting smarter. After awhile if she gets even smarter, she will head west to get away from hurricanes, tornadoes, high humidity and skeeters, among other things. :>)

I talked to Nellie last evening and she was in Ocala. She said she tried to call you, but got no answer. She plans to be at our place sometime today. Jack

Perhaps with big air bags the bus can get to CUBA!

FL gets a few pipe popping temps at times.

Thank "y'all" for your encouragements, I sure appreciate!!

BTW, Buswarrior, was that picture of your bus taken in the middle of July?

And I still carry my winter gears somewhere, lost in one of the bins... I just hope they stay there forever.

Oh, and Ed, I sure plan on going west, I need to upgrade my rig first, which of course means $$$, and put enough fuel in the tank, which means $$$ too... but I'll get there some day between now and then, sure enough before I get to Detroit!

Oh, and I've got to say that I'm a little jealous of Jack, looking at him very 'simply' changing the engine in his bus, which seems to require from him the same energy as when I'm changing the oil in mine. *sigh*

Thanks to you Jack and Paula for your hospitality, I love you both.

opps , and all this time I been spelling it "you-all", thanks for setting me strait Vivi...

~ehy, maybe it's time I reacquaint myself with the local vernacular, even it requires me to bus to the warmer parts of our fair continent. This revelation reminds me of the time I made the mistake of scratching my lower eye-lid while having a political discussion in the mist of some mountain gorillas.
