You folks think something like this thing could be used on a bus to pull a toad with?

I think the system expects there to be space underneath to hide in and not have a motor in the way.

If it can live with a motor in back then the constraint would be financial.

It is nice but it is alot of tongue weight. Like JoJO said there's not much ground clearance. With a tow dollie or tow bar there is no tongue weight.

Both very good points. I suspect the clearance
would certainly be an issue. Not so sure the weight would be on a "tandem axle" bus. It would be slick to have some type of interchangeble carrier to put a motorcycle on. Just roll it on, tie it down, lift it up and go. Maybe some of the engineering types that frequent this board could come up with some cost effective design to build
a hydraulic lifting "James Bond" type toad lift.
Would be very slick indeed.

If a 3/4 ton pickup can support the weight, I would think a bus could. The achilles heel may be the structure in the rear of the bus not being able to support the engine and the weight of a toad frontend. Would be great for front wheel drive toads though. sho nuff!

You need to remember that the bus probably has more weight hanging aft of the rear axle than the 3/4 ton P.U. even weighs!!! (wheys?- remember that one?) ...JJ
