Hello: Does any one have an idea of how much paint(gallons) my O-1 would use from the aluminum siding up? Ron |

It depends on a lot of things. Are you painting the roof? How many windows do you have? What kind of paint are you using? What kind of primer are you using? Are you going to clearcoat? What color? When you have all these answers, your paint supplier will sell you the right quantity of paint. |

For my Crown 35', everything but the roof, a gallon and a half did it.... and I have only four windows (two small ones and two that are 3x4') in the whole bus besides the windshields... Gary |

Hi Red, I didn't do the roof because it was already white from it's "skoolie" days, and the paint is "ok" for now. There's a bunch more things I'm eventually going to do up there before I paint it with new paint, change out the front AC to a Dometic like the back one, probably add a storage rack of some kind between the two A/C's, and there's a few spots to do with the por-15 rust stopper stuff. There's a few more vents I want to add here and there, and also a permanent roof-exhaust for the genset. For the paint, again "so far", because I didnt want the thing to look like a Frankenstien monster when I go places but I'm definitely not done poking holes in it yet, I went to Sherman Williams Automotive and got 2 gallons of catylized-primer, beige in color. That's my paint for now. They tell me it's tough enough that It'll last a few years no problem, until I'm truly finished- at which point I'll sand it and do a "real" finish. Here's a pic thus far- http://www.heartmagic.com/Bus.jpg Gary |

Hello Again; First of all, Thank You All for your imput. I have five windows. three on one side and two on the other side. I also have a rubber coating on the top. I was told by someone that you can use a rubber type paint for the top. Ron |
