For those of you who want to add a turbo to your 4104:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160392019326&_trksid=p2759.l 1259#ht_500wt_975

Perhaps some useable parts. The opening bid is cheap enough

Seller has no history or credibility. That engine looks pretty rough. Would need to at least pull the valve cover.

Well,

We know what Bob is up to, and he knows what the engine is, even though the seller doesn't.

From the pictures, its obviously a 671T, NOT a 6V71...

Plus a very old 671 look at the air box covers and that was before the after coolers and inter coolers were used just a turbo.

OTOH, for $75. . . it's good for parts if you're nearby!

FWIW & HTH. . .

RJ,

He's only about 100 miles from me. If no one bids on it, I might take a ride down and check it out. I've got a '69 Freightliner I wouldn't mind adding a turbo to.

FWIW there was a transit system that ran 6-71s with turbos, saw some online auction once. the engines were transverse like a GM so I guess they ran left. Can't remember where maybe Jersey somewhere.

Well, it sold for $510. More than I was willing to pay.
